An obligatory element for pools of this type is existence of the retaining walls made of concrete or a bricklaying on all perimeter of a design.
Advantages of such pools are similar collapsible, but at the same time polypropylene pools differ in bigger operational reliability. Monolithic pools represent a rigid reinforced concrete design from the reinforced concrete. The internal surface of a bowl can be revetted with a film, a tile or a mosaic. When facing by a tile or a mosaic it is necessary to provide existence of a waterproofing course.
The main advantage of such pools is their operational reliability and as a result - durability.

As the main materials for facing of a bowl of the pool serve the tile, a mosaic and a film of PVC. Each of these materials has to meet the special requirements accepted for pools: safety, low coefficient of water absorption, resistance to influence of chemical reagents, UV beams, difference of temperatures, mechanical influences, etc.
The choice of material for facing of a bowl of the pool depends on a set of factors: locations of the pool, size and form of a bowl, estimated intensity of use of the pool, ways of processing of water, design concept, etc.
