What the buyer should be guided at the choice of a stone for facing of the house, production of a table - top, a monument by?
The most known of granites of the Ukrainian fields are Vasilyevskoye, Leznikovskoye, Pokostovskoye, Emelyanovskoye, and others. This granite proved as exclusively quality material, wear resistance and durability, and also high durability. This granite does not need additional advertizing.
A little differently the situation with granite from China is. The concept "Chinese granite" is rather conditional. The few know that material which is offered by many companies as the Chinese granite actually granite is not.
It is rock which belongs to syenites. Its main components - feldspar, mica and nepheline. As we see, as a part of this breed there is practically no such major component of granite as quartz.
The majority of syenites distinguishes the following mineral structure:
- Potassium - sodium feldspar - from 65 to 90% ;
- Various dark - colored minerals (horn blende, biotite, augite) - to 40% ;
- Plagioclase - from 10 to 35% ;
- Quartz - no more than 5% .
As we see, the structure rather significantly differs from structure of the majority of types of qualitative granite.
The main lack of the Chinese granite — low interest of contents in it of quartz on which depend durability, wear resistance and moisture absorption.
Conclusion is following: any words that the Chinese granite can be better than Ukrainian is a conscious lie. Quality of granite has to be confirmed by data on its mineral structure and physicomechanical properties.
For an example, it is possible to compare the granite extracted on the Pokostovsky field and one of types of the Chinese granite.
