Passive houses are the well isolated buildings, annual thermal loading
which so low that standard heating system it is possible

The design of the passive house is very exacting concerning functioning
the used building components. The following reference values are applicable
to climate of the Central Europe. These principles are valid as well in others
climates.

The design of the passive house is very exacting concerning functioning
the used building components. The following reference values are applicable
to climate of the Central Europe. These principles are valid as well in others
climates.
- External parts of the building have to have heatassimilation coefficients below 0,15vt (m2k)
- The external protecting design has to be executed without thermal bridge (see chapter 7.9).
- Tightness of the protecting design of the building needs to be checked by means of testing for leak of the air conforming to the DIN EN 13829 standard. The measured leak of air should not exceed 0,6 p-1 at the pressure difference equal to 50 Pas (for excessive and insufficient pressure).
- All polish coefficients of heatassimilation has to have lower than 0,8 W (m2k) in compliance of DIN EN 10077 and with the Mark of conformity to standards of the European committee on standardization of EN 673. Also polish has to have high general coefficient of transmission of solar energy (g) not less than 50% according to EN 410 for receiving pure inflow of heat in the winter.
- Windows have to have the general coefficients of heatassimilation lower than 0,8 W (m2k) according to DIN EN 10077.
- The ventilating system has to be designed with the highest efficiency of regeneration of energy (ηHR ≥ 75% correspond to certification of PHI; for results it is necessary to subtract from standard techniques of tests 12 percentage points). It also has to have the minimum consumption of electricity (air supply volume ≤ 0,45 Vt-ch/m3).
- The generating and distribution networks of hot water for economic needs with the minimum losses of heat have to be used.
- Highly effective use of household electricity is necessary.
It is not enough simple combination of suitable components for construction
the passive house - the integration sum in general is more, than the sum of separate parts.
